HYUNDAI HAS EXPANDED THE PRODUCT RANGE WITH THE ALL NEW THREE-WHEELED ELECTRIC FORKLIFTS. LOGISTICS, INTRA-COMPANY TRANSPORT AND STOWING APPLICATIONS WITH LIMITED SPACE RELY ON COMPACT ELECTRIC FORKLIFTS WITH REAR-WHEEL DRIVE. THE NEW 10BTR, 13BTR AND 15BTR 9-SERIES WITH REAR-DRIVE AND 24 V AC-POWER AND LATERAL BATTERY EXCHANGE ARE EXACTLY THE PRODUCTS THESE MARKET SEGMENTS NEED.

Michel de Weert, European sales manager forklift and warehouse-equipment states: "These new premium lift trucks with powerful motors and extended battery capacity ranging from 625 to 1,000 Ah are the result of a long development process supported by key customers throughout Europe. Hyundai has a keen eye on the market and electric powered logistic equipment becomes more popular. We are going to supply a new series with a perfect balance of dimensions, power density, performance and ergonomics."

Hyundai’s BTR´s range from 1,000, 1,300 and 1,500 kg at 500 mm load centre. Depending on the capacity the wheelbase differs from 1,065 to -1,220 mm. All lift trucks are only 990 mm wide and weight, equipped with standard mast, about 2,390 to 2,850 kg. Duplex- and triplex-full visibility masts and lifting heights up to 6,035 mm extend the usage to many logistic and warehouse tasks. Also the new masts stands for highest performance - evidence are the extreme residual capacities. The triplex mast offers at full lifting height of 4,500 mm a considerable residual capacity of 725 kg. For high performance powerful AC-motors and pump are used. Hyundai installed a 9 kW lifting motor and a 4.3-kW drive motor.

Zapi controller and Prestolite electro motors make up the heart of the drive train. Wet, maintenance-free disc brakes on the front axle are of course standard equipment. Curve control (speed reduction depending on the steering angle) will be integrated in every machine. Four levers are standard - new mini-tips are available as an option.

Fast travelling of up to 13 km/h makes these lift trucks ideal for longer routes for example when being used in cross-docking operations in logistics centres. Driving and lifting parameters can be adjusted according to customer requirements - the driver selects among three operating modes:

  • Light
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced

These modes impact speed and energy consumption.
