Armstrong World Industries Inc. is a global leader in the design and manufacture of floor and ceiling coverings. The American owned business has a production facility in Stafford where the company run a fleet of five Hyundai forklift trucks which are tasked with the handling of the high-end tiling material.
Armstrong boast a number of prestigious clients world-wide and have supplied tiling solutions to the London Underground, Canary Wharf and Jeddah Airport. As well as manufacturing facilities in the UK the company also has facilities in France, Australia, Germany, China and America.
Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) will present an extensive range of equipment for both the construction and forklift world. The construction equipment range comprises the construction, utility, forestry, recycling & waste handling and mining & quarrying industries at Bauma 2016. Many of the machines will be making their world premiere at the show. The forklift range focuses on the logistics & warehousing industry, agriculture, construction, load & carry and ports applications – including some world premieres as well.
The line-up includes the release of the newest models of the Stage IV range compliant excavators wheel loaders and forklifts.
The mighty 250D-9 – the toughest forklift in the Hyundai range.
The Hyundai 250D-9 25 tonne (25000kg) forklift is the largest in the company’s forklift range and incorporates power and efficiency combined with durability and safety – all the necessary qualities for completing the job in hand! The 250D-9 model is capable of handling even the toughest of applications in a wide range of industries including container handling, wind turbine, marble, concrete, ports and the steel industry.
The 250D-9 is Hyundai’s ‘flagship’ diesel forklift model weighing in at 25 tonnes with a load centre of 1200 mm. The four-wheel heavy duty counter balance truck provides every operator a smooth running, efficient and comfortable machine with improved productivity and easy maintenance.

Hyundai has launched a newly designed range of high-performance diesel counterbalance trucks ranging in lift capacity from 2.2 to 3.3 tonnes. The new 9-series forklift range provide optimal safety, are environmentally friendly, efficient, ergonomically designed and suited for many different lifting applications from wood to tiles to concrete and rubble bags and many more outdoor uses. The complete Hyundai range now encompasses machines with a lift capacity of 1500kg (1.5 tonnes) up to 25000kg (25 tonnes).
The new diesel range comprises 22D-9 2.2 tonne, 25D-9 2.5 tonne, 30D-9 3tonne and the 33D-9 3.3tonne machine. The machines in the range are all driven by a high powered Kubota V3307 50kW/2,300 rpm engine (-9) for heavy applications or for less strenuous tasks the machines have the option of a Yanmar 4TNE92 34 kW engine (-9E). The Stage IIIB Kubota engines are ultra-low in emissions and use only a diesel oxidation catalyst. In this way the use of a DPF filter is avoided, the down-time is reduced and no additives are used which in turn makes it ‘hassle free for the operator’.
