Hyundai | Hyundai completes new Stage IV product range at Bauma 2016
Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) will present an extensive range of equipment for both the construction and forklift world. The construction equipment range comprises the construction, utility, forestry, recycling & waste handling and mining & quarrying industries at Bauma 2016. Many of the machines will be making their world premiere at the show. The forklift range focuses on the logistics & warehousing industry, agriculture, construction, load & carry and ports applications – including some world premieres as well.
The line-up includes the release of the newest models of the Stage IV range compliant excavators wheel loaders and forklifts.
Hyundai is showing a grand total of 24 construction equipment machines and 9 forklift models on the company’s 3,447 square metre stand located in the open air area FM.813A. The impressive machine list reads as follows:
For the forklift division:
- 18BT-9, battery forklift, logistics/warehouse
- 35BH-9, battery forklift, agriculture/construction
- 25D-9E, diesel forklift, general/rental market (world premiere)
- 30D-9, diesel forklift, general/rental market (world premiere)
- 35DA-9, diesel forklift, load & carry (world premiere)
Stage IV machines include:
- 45D-9, diesel forklift, construction (world premiere)
- 80D-9, diesel forklift, construction
- 160D-9, heavy diesel forklift, general (world premiere)
- 250D-9, heavy diesel forklift, port
The most significant change in this continued programme is the roll-out of Stage IV compliant diesel engines, with reduced exhaust emissions and improved fuel economy. Besides the engine change there are numerous other updates ranging from the cabin features including dashboard and instrument cluster to the hydraulic control and the exterior design.
Hyundai launch new models to the latest diesel Forklift range at Bauma
Hyundai is using the Bauma Munich exhibition as a platform to launch three new high-performance diesel counterbalance trucks to the latest 9-series of machines including a brand new heavy-line diesel forklift – the 160D-9.
Hyundai’s design philosophy
The new additions to the 9-series forklift range provide optimal safety, are environmentally friendly, efficient, ergonomically designed and suited for many different lifting applications from wood to tiles to concrete and rubble bags and many more outdoor uses. The complete Hyundai range now encompasses machines with a lift capacity of 1500 kg (1.5 tonnes) up to 25000 kg (25 tonnes).
Peter Neujens, Sales Manager Forklift Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe, commented “Bauma is the perfect opportunity to present our renewed forklift range next to our new range of construction equipment. We are very pleased to show the Bauma visitor that our extensive range of trucks offers solutions for a wide array of applications, across many industries. Our trucks are recognized as safe, reliable and hardworking, fulfilling the expectations of the customer.”
At Bauma the following new forklifts will see their world premiere:
- 35DA-9 - Diesel forklift (Stage 3B)
- 45D-9 - Diesel forklift (Stage IV)
- 160D-9 - Heavy diesel forklift (Stage IV)
Introducing the 35DA-9
The 35DA-9 has a lift capacity of 3500 kg (3.5 tonne) with a load centre of 500 mm – up until now the largest machine in this range was the 33D-9 with a lift capacity of 3300 kg’s with a 500 mm load centre. The new 35DA-9 is a compact workhorse and a valuable addition to the range and sits comfortably alongside the 25D-9 2.5 tonne, 30D-9 3 tonne and the 33D-9 3.3 tonne machines.
The machines in the 25-35D(A)-9 range are all driven by a high powered Kubota V3307 50kW/2,300 rpm engine for heavy application. The Stage IIIB Kubota engines are ultra-low in emissions and use only a diesel oxidation catalyst. Avoiding the use of a DPF filter reduces down-time and no additives are used which in turn makes it ‘hassle free for the operator’.
